I always wondered why hurling has not been promoted very well in the world like other sports? Rugby union was an amateur sport until 95 but has about 100 countries playing the sport. Most at amateur. Hurling seems to have made little progress for such a great sport. I wish we had had it in England but it doesnt seem to exist there.
Roy, couldn’t agree with you more – except on whether hurling exists in England. Take a look around, especially at http://www.britain.gaa.ie/ and you’ll find thousands across Britain play the sport every week!
